Sugar & Peaches Beagle Adult - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Beach Park, Illinois

Meet Peaches and Sugar! These 2 sisters lost their home when their owner died. The family could not keep them so they took them to the dog pound. They were very sad until Midwest BREW saved them and now they are in a foster home being loved once again until they find their forever home.

Since they are so bonded we want to adopt them together. The girls are 7 years young. Sugar weighs 27 lbs. and Peaches is 32 lbs. Both girls are housetrained and know how to use a doggie door. They are very sweet and happy. When we leave for work they are always curled up beside each other on our couch sleeping. They are such great house guests and never get into trouble. They dont chew up anything, make any messes or dig holes in our back yard. Their favorite time of the day is when they get to take a walk together. Like most beagles they keep their noses to the ground. After their walk they like to curl up beside us to get lots of love. Peaches is a snuggle bug and if you stop petting her she will stick her nose under your hand so that you will keep petting her. Sugar is shy and it takes a little bit of time for her to warm up to you. It took about a week at our house. I think this situation of losing her dad and going to the shelterhas stressed her out more than her sister so it may take a little longer for her to adjust than for Peaches.

The girls love being outside and we feel a secured fenced yard would make them happy. They love sunning themselves and Sugar likes for us to throw the ball. She will go to it but not bring it back. They dont seem to be big fans of toys. Theyd rather be with us than play with toys. They get along great with the resident beagle.They will bond deeply to whoever adopts them. They both have been spayed and are up to date on their vaccines. They both had dentals and both had some teeth pulled but that doesnt slow them down at breakfast or dinner. They both ride well in a car and stand still for baths. They have been very easy to foster.
